BRI Creates Special Device for Mantri, Result of Partnership with Telkomsel and BlackBerry

BRI partners Telkomsel and BlackBerry for the procurement of special devices for BRI's mantri to make the process of working in the field more digital with high security guarantees. The devices distributed by BRI have beeninstall in a manner default by network Telkomsel supported by the BlackBerry Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) security system.

Mantri BRI is an abbreviation of marketing and micro analysis which is in charge of not only dealing with credit, but also deposits. It is claimed that the total number of BRI's mantri at this time is around 34 thousand people spread throughout Indonesia. Mantri is different from the BRILink agent which is a Laku Pandai service from Bank BRI.

With this special device, all customer's valuable information will be more secure. BRI staff are enabled to share sensitive customer data in a trusted environment, reducing cyber threats and the risk of data theft.

Previously, BRI staff had to use physical documents to process credit applications from prospective customers. They also have to make daily reports every day to measure their productivity.

Now the credit process can be approved in less than 12 hours from the beginning, you need to wait for days. Thus, the productivity of the mantri increased more sharply. BRI can also detect directly the productivity of the staff based on GPS location. According to BRI data, there was an increase in sales between 30%-40%.

"Digitalization allows management and operational risks to be more suppressed, so that the risks are better mitigated when distributing micro-credits."

VP Enterprise Mobile Product Marketing Telkomsel Arief Pradetya added that the equipment provided by BRI was specifically designed for work, it had been locked so it could not be added or removed by the mantri. It only contains eight applications, the majority of which are internal applications from BRI equipped with work support applications.

"The device has beenroll out to all mantri, it has been completed since last month. Because this is a corporate device, it is designed for work only, not for others. Mantri can work directly with the network Telkomsel wherever they are," said Arief.

BlackBerry UEM is a piece of software that is part of the BlackBerry Enterprise Mobile Suite providing a single view for all devices, applications and content management, with integrated security and connectivity.
