Apple Announces OS X 10.11 El Capitan

The WWDC 2015 event has just ended and as previously reported, Apple released an update for the OS X and iOS operating systems.

OS X, the operating system for Mac devices is now entering version 10.11 and is named El Capitan by Apple. OS X 10.11 El Capitan brings a number of fixes and stability improvements as well as the addition of a number of new features.

In appearance, not much has changed from the successor to OS X Yosemite. Apple just replaced Helvetica Neue font to be San Francisco font which is also used on the Apple Watch.

In last night's demo, Craig Federighi pointed out that the Spotlight feature is getting smarter and the addition of search support using natural language thus making it more "human". Craig also points out that Spotlight can be resized according to user requirements.

Continue to Update over OS X's default browser, Safari. Feature pinned tabs officially added and will be automatically addedrefresh when Safari is first opened. Added features mute button is also present to automatically turn off the sound that appears from a web page.

Another feature that is no less important is windows management, in this feature the user can slide the open application window to the edge of the screen and automatically change its size.

Users can also open two application windows simultaneously, and don't miss a feature that allows these two application windows to be resized by sliding the barrier between them.

For the gamers, OS X El Capitan features Metal, a framework which was first present on iOS for the purposes of managing graphics more efficiently but still with attractive quality.

With Metal for Mac, now developers game can deliver sharp game details but still optimize CPU usage.

The beta version of OS X El Capitan is available to developers starting today. For those of you who have already participated in the program Apple's public beta, then you can taste it next July.

Officially, OS X El Capitan will be available to the public next fall, sometime in September or October.
