After Obtaining One Trillion Rupiah Funds, Carro Prepares Used Car Marketplace in Indonesia (UPDATED)

Targeting supply of 1000 units of used cars per month to dealers by the end of the year

Carro, a Singaporean startup engaged in the automotive sector is now ready to provide services marketplacein Indonesia for the used car segment. Led by the former head of Tokobagus / OLX Alif Priyono, who was also the Country Manager of mobil123, Carro Indonesia tried to take the used car niche in Indonesia.

"We managed to raise Series B funds of one trillion Rupiah at the end of last month and will use the funds to develop one of them marketplace in Indonesia," explained the Co-Founder Carro Indonesia Aditya Lesmana.

The one trillion Rupiah fund was obtained from a consortium of several companies venture capital, such as AlphaJWC, Skystar, Softbank, Singtel, Insignia, and B Capital. Carro itself has been available in Indonesia since last year.

Carro Indonesia focus on providing a "quick sale" service for customers who want to sell used cars. Carrying the slogan "Sell your car in 30 minutes", Carro Indonesia strives for a platform that is able to sell used cars easily, quickly, safely and comfortably. In addition, Carro Indonesia will also help companies that want to sell vehicle assets without administrative costs, unit transfer costs or other additional costs.

"Currently we have partners with more than 3000 used car dealers throughout Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Carro is developing the car business C to B to C (customer to business to customer) and position yourself as supply for used mobile dealers," explained Alif.

Alif continued, his party will introduce technology that is able to change the traditional used car market in Indonesia by providing a credible alternative platform other than traditional methods such as classified.

"From the side product technology, currently we already have a Quick Sell and Dealer App feature. In the future, we will develop the Titip Jual feature, Bulk Purchase, Intercity and several other feature services," explained Alif.

Alif also explained that Carro Indonesia will invest in marketing by educating both customers and customers used-car dealers by using various communication and marketing media to introduce Carro Indonesia's services.

Carro's side also believes that marketplace developed will be able to provide a large economic impact for used car entrepreneurs in Indonesia. "We are targeting supply to used car dealers as many as 1000 units per month by the end of this year," Alif concluded.
