Advocates Plan to Raise Series A Funds This Year

Already partnered with four clients on launch day, hoping to have 60 thousand student users this year

In order to develop various features and accelerate growth, advocate, an adtech platform founded by Daniel Tumiwa, plans to raise funds this year. While running a business boostrap, utilizing personal money and funding from angel investors, Advocates focus on doing fundraising Series A stages.

"Previously we had a meeting with 26 local and foreign investors. Currently, 3 investors are still in the stage of serious exploration with us for the next funding," said ADSvokat Co-Founder and Chief ADSvokator Daniel Tumiwa.

Adsvokat carries the O2O (online-to-offline) concept and has been operating since July 2017. The company already has 100 students joining and four clients, namely Tokopedia, Telkomsel, Clear (Unilever), and BCA.

"Our next target is to have around 60 thousand adsvokators [adsvokat users] from students and 60 clients from various brands," said Daniel.

Simple to use machine learning

In addition to applying selfies to measure campaign success, Adsvokat also embeds Tracker in the application to see the activities that have been carried out by the advertiser in the selected medium. Advocates use stickers on cars, helmets, smartphones, clothes as a medium.

"The sticker must match the criteria set for its placement. Ideally it should not blend with stickers from other brands. One advertiser can choose 3 mediums from the selected brand for one campaign, said COO Adsvokat Achmad M Usa.

Although the technology used is fairly simple, Advocates claim to use technology machine learning to be able to determine how many advertisers from among students are interested in the existing campaign, to how many supporting products are needed by each campaign.

"We also ensure that the Adsvokat application does not consume battery power on smartphones. We apply data optimization with a comprehensive compression method. This way we can avoid periodic data processing and of course save smartphone batteries," said Adsvokat CTO Heru Herlambang.

Fitur referral

Although the current Advocate's measurement method is not comprehensive, but through the features referral, namely inviting 10 friends to help with marketing activities, Adsvokat hopes to be a medium for marketing activities that have not been developed by many other services. As a bridge between brands and users, Adsvokat claims that this method is very effective for offline marketing activities.

"Impression for current products is indeed a small measure compared to direct advocacy, which is using the system" referral to expand existing marketing activities," said Daniel.
