Traveloka Co-Founder & CTO Derianto Kusuma Resigns

Today (27/11) Traveloka officially announced the resignation of one of its founders who also serves as CTO, Derianto Kusuma. He will be effective from releasing the position of CTO as of November 30, 2018. Previously, we had heard about this resignation at the beginning of last month. However, the party Traveloka at that time chose not to comment on this matter.

Together with other founders, Deri founded Traveloka in 2012 and managed to lead the company to achieve extraordinary growth.

"Deri has an unparalleled role in Traveloka's growth and success with his role in not only building and growing sustainable technology systems and capabilities, but also a sustainable organization," said Ferry Unardi, Co-Founder & CEO of Traveloka.

Ferry added, "Deri has considered this for several months and held discussions with me and the investors. The handover process has been prepared, and we will continue what we have built for Traveloka. We will continue to grow and focus on achieving our long-term goal of becoming a world-class technology company used by millions of people."

Meanwhile Deri commented, "My journey with Traveloka has been extraordinary, from the birth of Traveloka, implementing a world-class mindset and capability in Southeast Asia where we offer our customers and partners a new standard of quality and accountability in all of our operations, to addressing different kinds of challenges at various stages of Traveloka's growth. "Traveloka is currently going through a transition phase, my technology transformation work has been completed with the formation of a strong team to carry our solid foundation forward and the path for Traveloka going forward is secured with the latest financing or investment. Now is the right time for me to continue the next chapter of my life."

Reportedly, Derianto will focus on developing new businesses in a different category from Traveloka.
