DBS Foundation Grants IDR 8,2 Billion to Four Cleantech Startups from Indonesia

The four startups are Plana, Liberty Society, Nafas, and Magalarva

Bank DBS Indonesia through the DBS Foundation announced four startup from Indonesia who was selected as the winner of the DBS Foundation (DBSF) Business for Impact Grant Award Program 2023.

Fourth startup These are Plana, Liberty Society, Nafas, and Magalarva. As winners, they are entitled to receive grant funds with a total value of 710 thousand Singapore dollars (equivalent to IDR 8,2 billion), which will be used to overcome environmental and social problems.

A little information about each winner, Plana is startup which focuses on processing plastic waste into new materials, namely Plana Wood. This product is projected as an alternative to natural wood that is durable and can be used as a building material.

Liberty Society on the other hand focuses on recycling company waste (plastic, textiles, cardboard) into merchandise B2B, while also opening up work opportunities for marginalized communities.

Breath is startup which provides air quality data (air quality index/AQI) to raise awareness about air pollution and encourage policy change.

Magalarva presents a waste collection service and converts it into black soldier fly meal (black soldier fly) high quality as raw material for animal feed.
