Coral Enliven Mobile Marketplace Competition in Indonesia

Target 3000 sales partners in the first year, already providing applications on the Android platform

Idea mobile marketplace in the Indonesian market is very interesting. Not only able to take advantage of trends E-commerce which continues to expand, but also relies on the number of user adoption mobile devices which is quite high. We've heard of Shopee, like, also Carousel, quite active in the past year. Now it's turn Coral who began to step on the national scope of competition.

As if the two factors above are not strong enough, Coral embeds a social aspect that makes its platform a socialtrade take advantage of the Indonesian people's familiarity with social media. Not only active in networking, people often trade online using social media platforms.

“Coral is an app mobile devices which makes it easy for sellers online (Sellers) to sell and interact with buyers. We provide features that make it easier for Sellers such as upload easy product upload ke social media, chat with buyers, and order inside chat. Our mission is to help Social Sellers, sellers who have been selling on social media, to be able to run their business more easily,” said Coral Dharma Utomo's Co-Founder and COO to DailySocial.

Coral focuses on market segments woman's interest, such as fashion, beauty products, health products, and everything related to women. There hasn't been much marketing campaign activity so far, Dharma admits that he just started through his Instagram account at @coralshopid only.

Coral was founded by Dharma, Batista Harahap, and Andreas Fendri who have been in the tech startup ecosystem for a long time. Batista has previously worked with Urbanesia and Ardent Labs, while Dharma da Andreas previously worked on payment platform Veritrans.

“We facilitate Sellers to be able to build their relationship with Buyers through chatting and transactions within the Coral app. We help Sellers by facilitating the order process, providing payment notifications real-time, as well as providing transaction reports. We also make it easy for buyers to be able to order and transact directly through chat, "added Dharma.

There is no mention of the amount of funding which is Coral's preparation capital to seize the Indonesian market, but Dharma claims that his party is sufficient in terms of capital to accelerate its products and platforms.

Currently the Coral application is still at version 0.7.2.1. They will continue to receive feedback from initial Sellers and developing Coral applications. Currently Coral is only available for platforms Android just. Going forward, Coral is ready to recruit thousands of sellers in its first year of operation.

"This year we are targeting Coral to be actively used by 3 thousand sellers who are also actively selling on Instagram and social media others," he concluded.
